Porsche 356 SC Cabriolet

The Porsche 356 ended its 15-year production run in 1965 with the last series, the type 356 SC.

From 1964, Porsche built the early Porsche 911 vehicles parallel to the 356 model. The price jump from the 356 to the 911 model was so high, however, that it was decided to produce the last production series parallel to the Porsche 911 for one more year.

The 356 S model was given a power boost to 95 hp compared to the previous Porsche 356 and the entire gearbox unit, the shift linkage, the axles, the wheel axle clamp and the entire braking system were remodelled.

The 356 SC therefore already possessed a modern disc brake system on all four wheels.

The final models in this series, in other words the entire SC series, are highly sought-after collector’s items as these vehicles have very good, modern road-holding characteristics and also meet all expectations vis-à-vis acceleration and overall handling.

This special vehicle was completely restored about 4 years ago by PS Automobile and is in impeccable condition.

During the restoration, the engine and the gearbox as well as all axle components were completely overhauled. The vehicle was repainted and the interior was completely renewed in chestnut leather.

The vehicle has a German registration document as well as an ‘H’ approval (old-timer).
