VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

This was the first Porsche 911 to have its wheelbase extended and to use mechanical fuel injection.

This vehicle is one of the rarest of all Porsche 911s from the late 60s and early 70s. These vehicles were built over a period of just nine months and not, like all other Porsche 911s, over a period of 2 years. Overall, only 1,492 units of this model were produced.

It is also the lightest vehicle ever built with a weight of only 995 kg (the weight was again reduced by 80 kg, equivalent to almost 10% of the total vehicle weight). Its predecessor weighed 1,075 kg. This weight reduction was achieved by using thin panels throughout the entire bodywork, which ultimately also led to these vehicles being extremely rare today, because the thin sheet metal in combination with the then rather moderate rust protection has ensured that most of these vehicles have fallen victim to the ravages of time.

The offered car has a sunroof.
