VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

In 1969, the first Porsche sports car with a mechanical injection pump as found in the field of motorsport was placed into series production in the form of the Porsche 911 S.

Overall, the vehicles had been fundamentally reworked.

The wheelbase for all models from 1969 onwards was lengthened and the weight of the vehicle was significantly reduced compared to previous models.

Vehicles manufactured in 1969 thus weighed just 995 kg in comparison to previous models that weighed 1075 kg. This represented an incredible reduction in weight of 80 kg.

The compression ratio was further increased to 9.9 : 1. Overall, this resulted in an increase in performance to 170 hp with an almost 10% reduction in overall weight.

In combination with the longer wheelbase, this produced an incredible and previously unprecedented driving performance for a series-production sports car.

Neither the already mentioned compression ratio nor the overall weight of less than 1000 kg were ever achieved again on a series-production Porsche.

The vehicle presented here is in a completely original state without any rusting. It was originally supplied to a customer in Italy in 1969. The first registration document and the service history for the vehicle still exist.

The engine and transmission have matching numbers. The vehicle is unrestored in dream condition and was only painted once 20 years ago.
